We started as a French nail magazine. We became the shop our readers kept asking for.
It started with a question we couldn't answer
Ongles Paris began as a magazine — tutorials, trend reports, honest gear reviews, written from the city where the French manicure got its name. The readers kept asking the same thing: fine, but where do I actually buy that lamp?
Every answer we gave was disappointing. Salon suppliers sold to professionals only. Marketplaces buried decent tools under a thousand listings of the same plastic. So we did the boring thing: we started testing gear ourselves, and we opened a shop for the ones worth recommending.
What French curation actually means here
Not a flag on a box. It means the same editorial standard we apply to a trend report, applied to a catalog. Every product is selected from thousands, filtered on real buyer ratings (our shelf averages ★4.7), verified stock, and honest delivery windows shown on every product page — never a promise we can't keep.
It also means saying no. No 6W lamps sold as 48W. No “miracle” growth serums. No fake-scarcity countdowns. If a product wouldn't survive our own buying guides, it doesn't get a page here.

We publish a new article every single day — 37+ and counting: trend decodes, step-by-step tutorials, and gear comparisons that name the failure modes nobody advertises. Most of them recommend techniques, not purchases. That's the point: the shop exists to serve the magazine, not the other way round.
